Today, Briley hit his arm on the table during lunch. When I asked him if he was alright, he replied, "Yes, but my whisker hurts." "Your what hurts?" "My whisker." "Where?" "Right here!" he proclaimed as he pointed to his wrist.
Evidently, my central hick/southern accent has not clearly pronounced the word "wrist" to the boy and he has been walking around thinking it was called a whisker.
