My precious friend Alleyn picked six other bloggers and me for the Sugar Doll Award. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to respond, it is actually an honor to be among the blogs chosen. So, I am supposed to tell 7 things about myself and then choose 7 other bloggers to do the same.
1. It seems I am almost always running late or waiting to the last possible second to complete things.
2. I love love love love to read. If it is something that I am really excited about, I will find as many books as I can on the subject.
3. I love my job as a stay at home homeschooling mama. I find utter joy watching my children learn and interact with each other and the world around them.
4. I love to talk to people in person, but not on the phone as much.
5. I am a low maintenance kind of girl. I keep my appearance, house, and life (most of the time) as simple as possible.
6. I love the new life God has given us in NC, but at the same time, I desperately miss the way things were in VA.
7. I love it when a friend loves me enough to encourage me in the Lord, speak to me with scripture, and reprove me gently when I am slipping. I love to share the glory of our King out loud.

Our Case Worker
Yesterday we finished round one of our "medical" classes for adoption. We are now officially certified in CPR and choking and First Aid. Now we know what to do in the event of an emergency and what not to do. They specifically make you think of the worst case scenario and how you will react. I have decided that the only way to safely parent a child is to tie them up in their room until they reach 18, however, make sure that the bonds are not too tight or you may cause severe injury and even amputation.
Praise God that he is in control of everything or I could drive myself crazy thinking of all the horrific possibilities that could encounter my children throughout their lives.
We spoke with our adoption case worker today, Nikki, and she is getting the profiles for the kids we are looking to adopt in Kentucky. I am so excited to find out about them. We will only be allowed to find out a little information until we have completed our homestudy, but a little is better than nothing. She did caution us that we probably would not have children in our home for about 3-4 months after our homestudy was completed. I really hoped to have them over the summer so we would have time to bond and get to know each other without the pressures of school and activities in the Fall. Oh, well, God is in control of the details and he knows better than I what and when we need things.
If everything goes as we hope, we will need 5 more beds and a bigger vehicle, so please pray that God will provide all that when we need it. I am also looking for school and home organization ideas--so if you have any profound ideas, I am all ears.
Mark is going to build us all coat cubbies in the entrance way and we are going to add another washer and dryer to the laundry room eventually--but school is what I am praying the most about. I want them all to get a great education, I just don't know how to make sure they each get a great education. I know God has already mapped out those details and he will show me when I need it.
